Producing the Newspaper

The newspaper can be produced on the computer using software of your choice.

You must produce at least one page, more if you have the material.

The layout of the page is important, it must be similar to a UK national daily 'broadsheet' paper.

Consider the different elements that make up the front page of a newspaper. These include:

• The paper's name
• The price
• The headlines
• Images
• Columns of text
• Information about other stories inside

Good articles will consider the story from different perspectives. You might want to include quotes from relevant people and background information for people new to the topic.

Remember that the cover of the newspaper is partly designed to sell the paper itself so make sure it looks appealing. Look at the examples below for some quick ideas:
