Project 1B - Spreadsheet Modelling

The second project you will do for your GCSE ICT is to use a spreadsheet model to help a business solve problems and make decisions. Like project 1A, it is worth 30% of the overall grade.

This project will be completed during the first term. The second term will be spent making the finishing touches to project 1A (cinema) and learning theory for the summer examination.

You will do one of two possible projects.

Level 1 (0-19 marks)
You will download a spreadsheet showing the payroll of a business. You will carry out a series of tasks, describing what happens to your results in each task.

Level 2 (20-28 marks)
You will create your own complex spreadsheet and then design your own tasks to run. This project can achieve higher marks but if you cannot produce the material sought, you will get no marks. This is for the more able spreadsheet users.
